The penultimate region to receive HST’s, the Midland Region has never sported a large number of these sets, even less following the introduction of the Class 222 Meridian units, but you’ll often find them trundling off the beaten track on charter and railtour operations, taking the HST’s to places never before visited by these 125mph beauties.
